Q: Do I need to notify you which Bar Iím taking?
A: Yes, the Registrarís Office sends a Bar Questionnaire form out in September asking what Bar(s) you plan to take and what materials you will need from the Registrarís Office.
Q: Where do I have my Bar school certification filled out?
A: The Registrarís Office.
Q: If the Bar Iím taking requires a writing sample, can I do it at the Registrarís Office?
A: Yes, if you do your writing sample in front of the Registrarís Office, they will mail it directly to the Bar. If you do the writing sample on your own, you will have to get it notarized and mail it in yourself.
Q: If I am taking the Massachusetts Bar and Iím a graduating senior, do I need to bring in the Form 4 certificate for the Registrarís Office to fill out?
A: No, if you are taking the Mass Bar, you will notify us that you are taking it on the Questionnaire that is sent to you in September. The Registrarís Office will then send the certification form electronically to the Mass Bar so you do not need to submit the form. This is how the Mass Bar has instructed the Registrarís Office to send it. The Registrarís office is also aware of their deadline.
Q: Does the Registrarís Office automatically send the State Bar Iím taking everything they need from the school?
A: No. We only send the Mass Bar automatically. If you are taking a different bar exam, it is the studentís responsibility to let the Registrarís office know what they will need from the Registrarís Office. Every Bar requires different materials.
